Why a skin product from a hair care company?
Because we get asked all the time for it. The hair product concept of more natural, vegan and cruelty free, and which actually works, has been very successful, so extending it to skin care has been a natural development.
We’ve been asked a lot, “are you doing skin care?” so now we are. Instead of many varieties though (as with hair products) we decided to focus on one extremely high quality product first, establish its reputation, then look at growing the range later on.
Why a hand cream and not face or body lotion? In our experience a hand cream is the most requested and is a convenient self-care product purchase at the hair salon. A hand cream make possible the well-tested concept of high quality plus the ability to it try it out in store.
Our test salon sold over 80 units in three weeks, just from people trying it, “WOW!” being the most common expression. Sales exceeded expectations so quickly we had to delay releasing the product to salons until we got the stock levels and production up to speed.
